First time poster on this forum, I post on regrowth.com a lot.  Just stop minox after 5 month and want to get on a natural approach which people have had success with.  I'm 29 years old with diffuse thinning and receding at the hairline.  I also had just started a laser helmet routine that people have had success with too.  I guess I don't know where to start on the products that you have.  Is one stronger than the other, things like that.  Thanks

Hello ChuckP,

We had several reports from customers that applied our products and on top of them used a light source or a heat source and they claimed that the activity of the products was enhanced. The light and heat and moisture (which is generated by sweating) generated by a closed heat source on the scalp can increase or prolong the activity of ingredients; it is basic chemistry. I believe that a laser (if safe) may do the same. However, our products are very effective as they are and don’t require “help” from light sources to do a good job of maintaining the scalp. I can suggest two-product combinations for you which can improve the conditions on your scalp.

EquiClear and NanoScalp Men, which you can alternate each day.

or

JuveLine and Equisomin, which you can also alternate each day (and I would also recommend using Micellarin Green shampoo when applying this pair.)

or

scalpXtreme for everyday use and Micellarin Green shampoo

Each pair of products will last you about 4 months and you may have to occasionally resupply the shampoo.

All products can be used with a safe light source but if EquiClear feels too strong on the scalp with a light source you should avoid further use of light in conjunction with EquiClear.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply Dr.  Do I have to use the shampoo everyday with the topicals or can I use my tea tree shampoo in to.  Also when I laser I shampoo, dry then laser.  When using your topicals should I shampoo, laser then wet hair again and apply your topical?

Hello ChuckP,

You can use Micellarin Green 2-3 times a week.

After you shampoo apply one of our topicals on damp hair (towel dried) and then you can let it dry naturally or with a blow dryer (or leave it damp which may be the best option if you intend to use a safe light source but only if the safety instructions of the light source allow operating the device on damp hair). After that, if you wish to use a light or heat source, it will be the right time to use with the product on your scalp. Again, I don’t know about the safely level of these scalp lasers but if they are safe they can be used the same way as any other heat or light source.

Hello ChuckP,

Use 8-9 pumps on entire scalp. If you apply on a small scalp area, cut the amount proportionately. Towel-dry hair until no water is dripping but hair is still a little wet.

When I style my hair I like the dry look and when the topicals that I have been using leave my hair looking like it has hairspray in it.  How long after the topicals dry can I run some water on my hair?

Hello ChuckP,

About 1 hour after application or 30 minutes after you use your heat source (or safe laser) you can wash it off. Absorption is complete in about 30-60 minutes and if you apply a heat source (safe laser) you may cut the time to about 30 minutes.

Practically, when it dries (if you use a safe laser or a heat blower to dry your hair), you can leave it on or wash it. If it's drying on the hair rather than on the scalp, that may also mean you are using too much. Try using a bit less, and massaging it into the scalp a bit more.
