The basic things you can do in this forum (go to the home page, read the Help documentation, search for key words, edit your profile, logout) are controlled by buttons centered near the top of the screen. Choose a button and click it to begin an activity. The "home" button is a great place to start, since it will take you to a list of categories, where you can read posted messages or, if you are a member, post your own messages.

As you move into the details of an activity, more options will be displayed. The "help" button provides general information about these options.

If you want to try something a little creative (using color to highlight key parts of your message, or attaching a picture, for example) but aren't confident that you've got the software completely figured out, you are welcome to learn by doing. Use the "experiments" board in the "misc" category to try it until you like it; we'll ignore anything happening there, and so should everybody else. When you are ready, post your message on a real board, as appropriate to its subject matter.

If reading the documentation and trying a few things doesn't answer your question about how to use the forum software, you are welcome to ask a real person. Send a note to rose at scribionics.com, or post your question on this "HOW2" board; I'll answer you as soon as I can.
