Hi,

Until I recently started Juveline I was applying only pure Aloe Vera (preservatives: Citrus Seed Extract and Vitamin E) to my scalp. I wondered if I could continue to apply Aloe Vera in the evenings in addition to the Juveline I apply in the morning, or would there be a compatibility issue?

I should add that I also apply Nanoscalp on alternate days and wondered if this too would be compatible with nightly Aloe Vera application?

Also - is there a problem in applying topicals to the scalp without washing it (the scalp) first (I'm refering specifically to my nightly Aloe application)? My concern is that some of the accumulated dirt will be absorbed into the follicle along with the topical. On the other hand - is it wise to wash the scalp 2x daily?

Thanks,

Hello Penfold,

There is no problem to add any water-based product to the scalp and Aloe Vera is water-based since it is actually juice of aloe leaves. I believe that washing the hair twice a day is a bit excessive. You just have to lightly wet the scalp area to which you intend apply the products until it is somewhat damp. Dampening the scalp is for better spreading the product and not primarily for cleaning the scalp. Dirt particles are in the microscopic scale and are too large to be absorbed. They are not likely to be mobilized into your scalp.

Thank you for your question.
